Thank all of you who contributed to the excellent memorial for Rich Wendelken.
The tree we purchased for Rich is a Sweet Bay Magnolia. See above
The bench has a plaque which reads, "In Memory of our Friend, Rich Wendelken, 2008."
The bench is able to be used for additional plaques.
And a special thanks to Jim Packer for making the bench and tree happen and collecting donations from Rich's friends and family.

Thanks for sending this update on the memorial. I, as a new member of your "tennis family" have only been a part of the group for a short time. I never had the pleasure of knowing or playing tennis with Rich. However, it is obvious to me that he was a lucky man to have such a wonderful group of friends. I am so glad that you ran the recent classified ad so that I would have this opportunity to make so many new friends myself while playing the game that we all love. Looking forward to seeing you and playing some tennis with you soon.
